Description

A single malt distillery on the isle of Islay, currently part of the whisky holdings of French company, Rémy Cointreau. The distillery's flagship brand of single malt is a non-peated style, however it also produces peated variants called Port Charlotte and Octomore, as well as The Botanist gin. This is the sixth and final bottling from the Legacy series, a marriage of six casks from 1965, 1970 and 1972 vintages.

Nose
Soft and mellow with notes of coconut, vanilla, caramel custard, banana cream, apricot, marzipan, cinnamon, mint, orange marmalade, stewed berries, honey, cigar box, and old oak.
Palate
Gentle and mouth-coating with red berries, yellow fruits, delicate woody notes, earthy tones, light saltiness, rich glazed cherries, toffee, old leather, and polished wood.
Finish
Soft and gently fading, medium in length, with stone fruits, tropical fruits, cinnamon-spiced berries, creamy cherry and vanilla compote, and old oak.
