Nose
Chewy and rich with toffee, raisins, licorice, apricots, lemons, mangos, honey, and a light, pleasant sulphured note like a struck match. Fragrant with sweet exotic fruit, a salty whiff of sea air, peach, kumquat, apple candy, passion fruit, mango, fruit syrup, orange marmalade, and a touch of mint and smoke. [5, 6]
Palate
Richly sherried with toffee (coffeed sort), dates, strawberry jam. Oily delivery, fruit is more subdued but candied with orange peel and apple, more smoke. Spicy and a touch resinous. [5, 6]
Finish
Raisins flesh out the finish. Rather short, but warm. Fruit driven with lovely oak, vanilla, custard, lemon curd, and strawberries and cream. [5, 6, 10]
