Description
Mothballed by previous owners Whyte & Mackay, Bruichladdich distillery was revived in the year 2000 by independent bottler Murray McDavid. For a long time the distillery was the black sheep of Islay, on account of producing unpeated whisky in order to meet its owner's blending requirements. Contrary to general expectations though, this also made it a hit with the locals who were presumably sick of ... This bottling is part of the Bruichladdich Micro Provenance series, an ongoing collection exploring the effects of various factors on the aging process of Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Distilled in 2014 and aged for 9 years in a 1st Fill Muscatel cask, it was bottled in 2023 as a limited edition of 240 bottles.
