Nose
There is a richness, chocolate, tobacco, bonfire smoke, leather. Vanilla custard, blueberry dry straw and pear drops. Hints of malted barley and straw, with a pronounced peat influence. A touch of varnish, golden syrup and bitter oranges peel.
Palate
Warming, spicy – mulled wine. Leather and tobacco, malt sugar, icing sugar. All wrapped in earthy peaty smoke. Dry on the palate. Warm and comforting bonfire smoke, with a touch of medicinal peat and rubber. A whiff of marzipan. Starts quite mild and fruity with honey, vanilla, toffee and fresh grapes, then the peatiness bursts through with a peppery spiciness.
Finish
Oak driven, coconut, tobacco, vanilla, then smoke. Lingering vanilla, ash, and smoke. Long. Wood, vanilla and smoke with a hint of coconut and hints of pepper. The peppery spiciness turns into a cloud of peppermint, with ripe berries, funkiness, and medicinal notes. Less sweet, with a vegetal and medicinal peatiness.
