Description
Duncan Taylor & Company presides over the ownership of one of the largest privately-held collections of Scotch whisky casks. Though the company's origins lie in Glasgow as a whisky merchant and broker, its headquarters are in the North East of Scotland - close to Speyside - and it has complete control of the entire production process; from cask selection and management, through "in-house" product ... [cite: Scotch Whisky Auctions]. This is a rare Bruichladdich from 1966 bottled by Duncan Taylor as part of their Peerless series. It was distilled in January 1966 and bottled in February 2003 after 37 years of maturation in an oak cask, yielding only 190 individually hand-numbered bottles.
