Nose
Rich with fruit notes like red berries, apricots, cherries, and blackberries, complemented by caramel, vanilla, and honey. Underlying are prominent smoke and peat, with earthy, ashy, and sometimes medicinal (camphor, damp chalk) qualities. Hints of sea salt, orange essence, and even petrol can be detected.
Palate
A thick and oily mouthfeel. Sweetness from red berries, caramel, toffee, and maple, balanced by peppery spice, ginger, and a distinct peatiness. Earthy, dry, and sometimes burnt coffee notes emerge, alongside oak spices, grape must, and fresh lime. Some describe it as smoked creme brûlée or apple pie with cinnamon.
Finish
Long and lingering, with the peat becoming more pronounced, accompanied by earthy smoke, ash, and mineral notes. Lemony, peppery, and briny characteristics persist, with hints of cough syrup, honey, and fig spirit.
