- Sweet and dunnagey with rich sherry fruits like strawberry cheesecake, fig newtons, dried fruit leather, Muscat grapes, and cantaloupe. Notes of brown sugar, fudge, dried apricots, honey, malt syrup, and toasted sesame seeds. Earthy undertones of mushroom and toasted walnuts, with a hint of black pepper, seaweed, and a touch of smoke.
- Palate
- Medium texture, heavily sherried but not overly sweet, with malt syrup, cheese and cherry Danish, citrus oils, and pomegranate. Dark chocolate, walnuts, plums, and light salt. Develops into yeasty, earthy, and bittersweet notes of strong tea, toasted nuts, oiled exotic wood, and mixed spices like star anise, clove, and cinnamon. Rich and oily mouthfeel.
- Finish
- Medium-long with light smoke, a hint of smoked paprika, melon rind, passionfruit, citrus pith, yeast, and sesame seeds. Spices, leather, and oak linger, along with cognac-soaked sultanas and a touch of menthol tobacco.
