Description
Mothballed by previous owners Whyte & Mackay, Bruichladdich distillery was revived in the year 2000 by independent bottler Murray McDavid. For a long time the distillery was the black sheep of Islay, on account of producing unpeated whisky in order to meet its owner's blending requirements. Contrary to general expectations though, this also made it a hit with the locals who were presumably sick of ... This limited-edition Bruichladdich single malt was selected from the Greaves Private Collection by Master Distiller Jim McEwan and bottled to celebrate the sixth appearance of Greaves Motorsport (formerly known as Team Bruichladdich) in the world famous Le Mans 24 Hour endurance race in 2011. Each bottle is numbered and signed by the entire team.
