Description
Bruichladdich Rocks is an unpeated Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, part of a series inspired by the distillery's surroundings. It was introduced in 2007 and discontinued in 2013. This multi-vintage expression was matured in ex-bourbon casks and then finished for around 9 months in French red wine casks, including Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre Syrah, and Banyuls. It is non-chill filtered and naturally colored, bottled at 46% ABV. The whisky was crafted by Master Distiller Jim McEwan, who selected various aged casks to create a layered, fruity, and complex dram. The name 'Rocks' refers to the Rhinns of Islay, the rocky area on the western side of the island.
