Buchanan's Reserve 12 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky, aged a minimum of 12 years in oak casks. It was originally marketed as Buchanan's Finest Liqueur and designed to have a soft and fresh profile. This expression is composed of malt and grain whiskies sourced from Scottish distilleries. It was bottled for Amerigo Sagna & Figli - Torino. It has won awards including a Double Gold Medal and Best in Class Blended Scotch up to 15 Years at the 2020 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and rated 96 points at the 2019 Ultimate Spirits Challenge.

Round and complex with bright tangerine, lemon, orange, caramel, honey, dark chocolate, salted nuts, toasted cereal grains, and hints of peat smoke. Also warm caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak.
Palate
Less sweet than expected, with bright green apple, orange, tangerine, spicy black pepper, toffee, cocoa, and a smoky element of tobacco and peat. Soft and fruity with orange and chocolate flavors. Layers of dried fruit, spice, and a hint of smoke.
Finish
Lingering spice with salty sweet chocolate-covered caramel and wisps of campfire. Smooth and warm, with vanilla, soft oak, and a whisper of citrus zest. Light finish with sweet vanilla, caramel, and apricot.
