Nose
The fragrant aroma has almost a wine-like character with hints of almond, cigar boxes and cinnamon, rich caramel, dark cherry, antique oak, tobacco leaf and subtle walnut shell.
Palate
The delicate and dry mid-palate tastes of leather, vanilla and tobacco, with chopped dark fruit (black cherry, plum), brown sugar, roasted oak, vanilla-bean, light baking spice (cinnamon) and a faint echo of pepper.
Finish
Lingering finish with hint of leather and toffee, seasoned oak tannins carry into vanilla-cream, leather, dried fruit and a lingering warm note of black tea or cocoa nibs.
