The celebrated French whisky importer La Maison du Whisky celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2006. In honor of this occasion, Buffalo Trace released a special single barrel bourbon. Barrel #435 was bottled in 2006 at 90 proof. La Maison du Whisky was founded in 1956 by Georges Bénitah.
