Buffalo Trace Single Oak Project Barrel #8 is part of Buffalo Trace Distillery's experimental series examining the effects of seven distinct variables in whiskey aging. Bottled in 2011 as part of Release 3 at 90 proof (45% ABV) in a 375ml bottle, Barrel #8 utilized rye recipe bourbon aged in concrete-floor warehousing in oak harvested from the bottom half of the tree.
