Description
Islay's remote north east coast might seem a strange place to find a substantial Victorian distillery, but it was chosen in 1881 by William Robertson in partnership with Greenlees Bros. as the perfect spot for his island vision. This 12-year-old single malt is the 2021 Cask Strength Edition, inspired by tastings in the distillery's Warehouse 9 where guests can draw samples directly from the cask. It has been matured in sherry casks and is notable as one of just two distilleries on Islay where the preferred production is a non-peated single malt. Bottled at 55.1% ABV, it is natural colour and non-chill filtered.
