Bunnahabhain 1965 Limited Edition 35 Year Old, Sherry Cask, Cask #7159, 2001, 53.9%

A whisky distillery on the isle of Islay, notable as one of just two on the island where the preferred production is a non-peated single malt. It has been a part of the Scotch whisky holdings of the South African Distell Group since 2013. For 35 years, this remarkable malt has lain undisturbed, quietly perfecting its palate and colour in a sea-washed warehouse at Islay's northernmost distillery. This 1965 limited edition malt was bottled on the Distillery's 120th anniversary, from the last remaining cask from 1965's production, and is as unspoilt and individual as Islay herself.
