Touches of calvados, very malty, with a whiff of sour cherries, copper, orris root, and a candy-esque sweetness. Also notes of almonds and vanilla.
Palate
Creamy and mouthcoating with sweet oranges, caramel, fudge, port-stewed pears, brown sugar, tobacco, red apple, and charred lemon peel. Rich and full-bodied with apples, ginger, white pepper, vanilla, hay, and redcurrant.
Finish
Hints of pear skin and apple parts with soft spices. Medium long with a soothing sweetness, white sugar, mild caramel sauce, nuts, and a touch of mint.
