- Rich sherry notes of raisins, figs, and walnut, followed by smoky malt and a coastal salty edge. Cocoa, leather, tobacco, and an earthy, farmy undertone. Smoke is present but woven into fruit and nuttiness.
- Palate
- Full and oily with a thick sherried body. Dark dried fruit and creamy sweetness, followed by nuts, dark chocolate, and a touch of espresso bitterness. Peat shows as bonfire smoke and warm ash, with salinity and a light peppery prickle.
- Finish
- Long and slowly drying with lingering smoke, nutty sherry tones, and cocoa. More spice, tea-like tannins, and a gentle smoky warmth.
