Description

A limited edition 2008 vintage from Islay's Bunnahabhain distillery, this expression has been crafted from the distillery's peated spirit, Mòine, and fully matured in Bordeaux red wine casks from France's Bordeaux wine region for a warming fruity character. It is presented at a natural cask strength of 58.1% abv, free from chill-filtration and artificial colouring.

Rich fruit & grape, hints of nut & rich oak, toffee & espresso balanced with pepper & smoke. Dry ashy smoke with bright juicy berries, raspberries and cherries, meaty peat influence with tobacco and spent coffee grounds.
Palate
Almost layered with rich grape & red wine influence, hints of toffee, chocolate & tobacco, developing into a warming peppery smoke. Creamy and oily body with raspberries, cranberries, redcurrants, tar, coal dust, graphite and ash.
Finish
Long & lingering combination of fruit & smoke. Medium to long with tar and Black Jack chews, ashiness with darker berries, pepper and drying oak.
