Description
Islay's remote north east coast might seem a strange place to find a substantial Victorian distillery, but it was chosen in 1881 by William Robertson in partnership with Greenlees Bros. as the perfect spot for his island vision. Constructing it meant not only building the distillery but houses as well, putting in a road, and adding on a pier so that casks and barley could come in, and whisky go out. This is a rare and exclusive vintage 1988 30 year old Bunnahabhain Islay Single Malt Scotch whisky, distilled on 1st December 1988 and bottled after over 30 years of maturation in selected French oak casks on 14th November 2019 as a special limited Celebration Edition. It was released as a Distillery Exclusive New Acquaintance release 2019 in an edition of only 400 individually numbered bottles.
