Description

When Rupert Patrick decided to use his great-great grandfather's name, James Eadie in his new venture, he started by looking through old ledgers and tracking down forgotten blends. James Eadie was born near Gleneagles establishing his brewing and bottling business in 1854. This Cambus 26 Year Old Single Grain Scotch Whisky was distilled in 1993 and matured in a single sherry butt, then bottled in 2019 by independent bottler James Eadie at cask strength, natural colour and without chill-filtration. Only 617 bottles were produced from cask #48094.

Nose
Marzipan and fruitcake, with coconut cake, lemon, honey and oak spice. Refreshing aroma.
Palate
Lots of sherried fruit, with young oak, Bounty bar, a drizzle of honey and black pepper. A rich, complex, and smooth taste.
Finish
A hint of oak char on the finish alongside oodles of sweet, jammy berries and a prickle of spice. Quite rich and lovely smooth texture.
