Nose
Rich and malty with notes of orange marmalade, sweet lemon glaze, damp oak, apples, and soft sherry. Hints of maple honeycomb, geranium, jasmine black tea, and wet spices. Underlying notes of beeswax, graphite, stewed apples, vanilla cream, and a characteristic hint of sea salt.
Palate
Sweet fruits, candied peels, and subtle dried fruits with sherried notes. Creamy sweetness of vanilla and strawberries, toffee, heather honey, and light cocoa. Notes of ginger oatmeal biscuit, gingerbread, cinnamon, and oranges, with a coastal influence and a subtle hint of peat smoke.
Finish
Very smooth and medium long, with lingering black tea, tobacco, and leathery notes. Oaky notes, aniseed, and a persistent trace of peat smoke.
