Description
A Canadian distillery and the largest in North America. It was built in 1858 by Hiram Walker and was the original home of the historic Canadian Club brand. It is today part of the Corby Spirit & Wine division of Pernod Ricard. A distillery company founded in 1858 by the Canadian businessman, Hiram Walker. Its operations were based in Windsor, Ontario and quickly gained success for its Club Whisky. This Canadian whisky is aged longer than the minimum three years required by law in oak barrels before bottling for the smoothest possible flavor. It is recognized for its smooth and light profile, often made from a blend of corn, rye, and barley. What truly distinguishes Canadian Club from most competitors is its pre-barrel blending: all distillates are combined before aging in white oak barrels, allowing the flavors to integrate and develop together during the full maturation period rather than being married post-aging.
