Nose
A milky and lightly peated scent. Warming, with polished wood and a bit of chlorine. Strong and sweet aroma of nectarines and yoghurt, with a hint of tobacco and ripe pineapples. An explosion of peat, very thick and intense, with a marine profile of seaweed and smoked herring with pickled olives and apple cider vinegar, wild strawberry, blueberry, lemon and tobacco.
Palate
Suprisingly creamy and smooth for its high ABV. A subtle hint of Greek Yoghurt with passion fruit. Fruity sweetness of the bourbon cask plays well with the dry two years finish on oloroso casks. Sweet and creamy opening with smoke, berry jam passed through the barbecue with plenty of black pepper and cloves, candied orange, cola and Catalan cream. Background of tobacco and leather, with touches of liquorice and splashes of the sea.
Finish
Smoke is well integrated with hints of sweet barley, dried meat and fruity flavours like melon, lemon and peaches. Ends with a hint of salty fudge and dark chocolate. Long and spicy, ashy, with licorice, orange marmalade and salt.
