The Caol Ila Distillery produces a potent Islay single malt that displays a bold and zesty vibrancy – a peat-lover's dream. Murray McDavid teamed up with Wild Beer Co. to create a style of Caol Ila never seen before. The inventive crew at Wild Beer Co. borrowed whisky casks to age their Imperial Stout. Once emptied, the stout-ladened casks were shipped from Somerset to Speyside and filled with peated Caol Ila for 18 months, resulting in a unique, fun and tasty dram. [4]
