Nose
Fresh yet earthy with smoke, peat, nuts and peaches. Some tar, old leather, and a little salt. Also notes of walnut oils, wet newspapers, charred parsley, waxy and resinous smoke, old engine oil, melon, mandarin, embrocations, old cigars, nutmeg, vanilla, and a subtle hint of Manzanilla Pasada.
Palate
Quite light, with a creamy nuttiness underlying a gentle peatiness. Hints of leather and sweet vanilla, with wafts of smoke. Also notes of bygone smokiness, old car workshops, old resins, iodine, herbal liqueurs, peated lime juice, lightly smoked fish, tarmac, walnuts, floral honey, and old mint.
Finish
Long, warmer and heavier than the taste. Smoke and peat become stronger but not overwhelming. Leather and saltiness continue, along with creamy nuttiness. Also mineral notes, black pepper, lemon balk, menthol, and gentle smoke.
