Description

Caol Ila Moch is a soft, smooth, clean and fresh Islay single malt. Its name means 'dawn' in Gaelic, evoking a bright and refreshing character. It features scrubbed-clean aromas and smoky-dry notes of peat balanced by fresh citrus and maritime saltiness. This expression is lighter in style than the standard 12-year-old and was the first Caol Ila whisky to be bottled by taste rather than age statement.

Nose
Lemon sherbet and apple crumble topping with custard. Dry grass and not a hint of smoke.
Palate
Sweet lemon meringue pie and soft, very soft mouthfeel. The peat hits a third of the way in but it's restrained; soothing wood smoke rather than burning tyres, and it retains a sweetness throughout.

Soft drying smoke.
