A 20-year-old Islay single malt from Caol Ila, distilled in 1975 and bottled in 1996 as part of the prestigious Rare Malts Selection. This limited edition release was presented at natural cask strength of 61.1% ABV. The Rare Malts Selection was a series of bottlings from rare and closed distilleries from the 1960s to early 1980s, renowned for exceptional cask strength whiskies.

Very clean and appetising, with a gentle floral character, seaweed, peat, grassy notes, faintly medicinal, a touch of sweet apples, citrus zest, maritime notes, hints of vanilla and saltiness.

Firm, powerful, peppery, robust, with peat, smoke, spices, liquorice, honey, smoky flavors, sweet fruits, subtle spiciness, toffee and dried fruits.
Finish
