Description

The Caol Ila distillery was founded in 1846. After a complete rebuild in 1972, it became the largest distillery on Islay in terms of production capacity. Caol Ila is known for its peaty, smoky and iodic single malt that also possesses a unique finesse. For their 30th anniversary, independent bottlers Signatory Vintage have selected a spectacular single cask of 35-year-old Caol Ila. Hogshead #5290 was filled in November 1983 and yielded just 213 bottles in December 2018.
