Description

This Caol Ila Stitchell Reserve is a special, limited-release single malt whisky, part of Diageo's 2013 Special Releases. It is named in honor of Billy Stitchell, the long-serving Distillery Manager who retired in 2013 after 40 years, marking five generations of his family working at the distillery. This unpeated Islay malt is a departure from the distillery's typically smoky offerings, showcasing a lighter yet still powerful side of Caol Ila's spirit. Bottled at natural cask strength of 59.6% ABV, it was matured in a mix of refill American oak, rejuvenated American oak, and ex-bodega European oak casks. It is un-chillfiltered and has no added color.
