Wonderfully concentrated pure, clean Caol Ila – peaty and medicinal, with rich fruit, spicy and fragrant. Zesty orange marmalade, earthy peat smoke, and floral shrubbery.
Palate
Sweetness and maltiness, quickly overwhelmed by peat smoke and intense, clean, crisp flavours. Oily marmalade texture, balanced by a faint wisp of muscatel sweetness, cinnamon spice, and a gentle wispy coastal note.
Finish
Long, rounded, robust and multi-layered. Gentle salty spice, lingering trail of faint smoke, and a subtle dried-fruit sweetness.
