Description

A Speyside distillery originally built as an expansion for Glen Grant and known for many years simply as Glen Grant No.2. Despite obtaining its own identity in 1965, it was mostly operated for the provision of malt to blended Scotch brands and was eventually closed by Pernod Ricard in 2002. *

Sharp and piquant, with sweet mustard, balsamic touches, apple juice, lemons, peonies, tobacco, Haribo bears, and cinnamon. Also notes of red grape, burnt sugar, almond, mushroom funk, hay, and earthy funk.
Palate
Oily texture with fruity notes of oranges, sweet lemons, pears, grapefruit, and spicy notes of white pepper and cloves. Also almond/cherry, toffee, and mineral.
Finish
Not too long, with apples, ginger, grassy, spicy notes, oak, tea, brown sugar, and sugar cookie.
