Description
This 25-year-old peated Caperdonich single malt matured in oak hogsheads and was bottled in 2019 at a cask strength of 45.5%. The Speyside distillery Caperdonich was built in 1898 by the founders of Glen Grant. It closed after only four years, and didn't open again until 1965. It was renamed 'Caperdonich', meaning 'secret well' in Gaelic. Pernod Ricard purchased Caperdonich in 2001 and closed it only a year later, with the distillery being demolished in 2010 or 2011. This small batch release is part of the 'Secret Speyside Collection' and is non-chill filtered.
