Description
Caperdonich distillery, once stood on the banks of the River Spey, is NO MORE. A building opened in 1898 and taken down, brick by brick in 2011. This single malt is all that remains of the whisky from the 'SECRET WELL'. A water source, whose pure & clear qualities were once used to meet in the dead of night. A place where distillers have always crafted whisky with passion, letting their spirit run free. Though the building may be gone, the distillers' craft lives on. This 27 year old Caperdonich Unpeated single malt has been matured in first fill American oak barrels, bottled at cask strength, for a delicate and rich flavour. Aromas of fresh ginger and zesty lemon are brilliantly balanced with notes of sweet vanilla and honey. These flavours intensify on the palate with apple and blackberry coming through, resulting in a long, sweet finish.
