Description

A Speyside distillery originally built as an expansion for Glen Grant and known for many years simply as Glen Grant No.2. Despite obtaining its own identity in 1965, it was mostly operated for the provision of malt to blended Scotch brands and was eventually closed by Pernod Ricard in 2002. The former flagship brand of Perth-based independent bottler, Decadent Drinks, and the catalyst for the company itself to be founded. This 21-year-old Caperdonich was distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2021 under the Whisky Sponge independent banner, matured in a refill hogshead. Only 280 bottles were produced.
