Description

The Cardrona 5 Year Old 'Growing Wings' is a single malt whisky from New Zealand's Cardrona Distillery. The distillery was founded by Desiree Reid, who pursued her dream of creating a New Zealand single malt. The first spirit ran on 23 October 2015, and the first cask was laid on 5 November 2015. This expression is part of the 'Growing Wings' series, celebrating five years in oak. It is bottled at natural cask strength and presented in a stylish bottle with a wooden stand. The 'Growing Wings' Solera is a marriage of select ex-Oloroso sherry butts and ex-bourbon barrels.
