Nose
Quince jelly and hints of lychee, with notes of botrytis and dried apricot, leather polish, thyme syrup, fresh mint, damp cigar leaves and vanilla.
Palate
Sweeter and more robust than expected, with plenty of herbal syrups, cough drops and mead, followed by plums, caramel, tobacco and spicy wood; becoming leafy and mineral with a mild bittersweet character, touches of walnut liqueur and sour chocolate, and increasingly dominant herbal notes.
Finish
Quite long, focused on bittersweet herbs with peppery warmth, clove and a distinctly earthy Pu-Erh tea note.
