Nose
Rich and sweet. The aroma is distinctly characteristic of PX Sherry, with notes of raisins, candied fruit, and ripe plums. This is followed by deeper notes of dark chocolate and roasted coffee beans, accompanied by a hint of woody notes from a fine cigar box and sandalwood.
Palate
Round and full-bodied with distinct layers. Upon first sip, the sweetness of fig and black date explodes on the tongue, intertwined with the bittersweetness of dark chocolate. The mid-palate reveals the warmth of spices such as cinnamon and cloves, with a rich, oily texture and excellent coverage.
Finish
Long and complex. The nutty and oily aromas and the sweet aftertaste of dark chocolate linger in the throat, finally leaving an elegant oak tannin and caramel finish, with an overall excellent balance.
