Description
1825 saw the official opening of the Adelphi distillery in the Gorbals, Glasgow, but after changing hands a smattering of times throughout the mid to late 1800's, it finally ended up in the hands of DLC in 1902. Sadly, production at the distillery ceased shortly afterwards. Fast forward to 1993, and we see Jamie Walker, the great-grandson of one of the distillery's founders reviving the Adelphi name. This is a single cask Chichibu 2013 7-year-old Japanese single malt whisky bottled in 2023 without colouring or chill filtration by indie bottlers Adelphi for their Adelphi Selection range. This 7-year-old Chichibu 2013 came from single cask 3090, yielding 210 bottles at a seriously poky natural cask strength of 57.8%.
