Description

Chivas Imperial 18 Year Old is a premium blended Scotch whisky, matured for at least 18 years in oak casks. It was created by Master Blender Colin Scott and is a skillful blend of more than forty of Scotland's finest malts and grain whiskies, primarily from the Speyside region, including malts from Strathisla and Longmorn distilleries. This expression was first produced in 1988 for the Duty Free market and was delisted in 1996, preceding the launch of the Chivas Regal 18 Year Old in 1997. It is known for its complex and rich character.

Rich, indulgent and multi-layered aromas with hints of dried fruits, buttery toffee, dark chocolate, vanilla fudge, new leather, nutty wood, sweetcorn, Turkish delight, vanilla custard, sherry, caramel, oak-wood, smoke, grain, pear, red grapes, berries, tangy grapefruit, peppermint, and ginger shavings.

Rich and velvety, with flavors of dried fruit, vanilla, light smokiness, dark chocolate, elegant floral notes, fruitcake, fruit trifle, fudge, citrus zest, leather, dry walnuts, spice, sweet vanilla, and a mild pungency.
Finish
Long, lingering, warm, with spicy fruit, fudge, fruitcake, sweetness from sherry, and a mild spice.
