Description

A subsidiary of multinational drinks giant, Pernod Ricard, that manages the company's extensive portfolio of Scotch whisky distilleries and brands. It remains synonymous with its historic Chivas Regal and Royal Salute blends and today also boasts the Ballantine's brand as part of its operation. This is a limited batch release made from a selection of 100 aged casks, some of which were forty years old, creating a silky, creamy whisky of exceptional elegance.

Nose
Delightful aroma with sugary caramel, vanilla, nuttiness (almonds), and a hint of oakiness, complemented by ripe tropical fruits like apricot, papaya, and melon, honey, and a touch of cinnamon.
Palate
Very smooth, rich, and elegant, coating the mouth with dark sugars, honey, prunes, vanilla, and soft oak undertones. Strong notes of nuttiness, a little cinnamon, and a prominent sherry influence with brandy-soaked fruitcake, winter spices, and dark chocolate.
Finish
Medium length, smooth and lingering, with notes of cocoa, vanilla, gentle oak, mixed nuts, raisins, coffee beans, and oats, with spices emerging at the end.
