Description

Blended by Chivas Brothers, Royal Salute was launched on the 2nd June 1953 in tribute to the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Named after the traditional 21 gun salute, this rich, classy blend is aged for a minimum of 21 years and is bottled in a range of Wade porcelain decanters. The Sapphire Flagon is a special edition, with the sapphire being one of the jewels on the Royal Crown. Royal Salute supports polo tournaments across the world.

Sweet pears and citrus fruits are balanced with the soft fragrance of autumn flowers. An elegant blend of vanilla and dry oak is crowned with subtle notes of sherry and a wisp of smoke.

The warmth of orange marmalade and fresh pears is followed by an explosion of spices and hazelnut. After the intensity of fruity flavors, a touch of soft smoke lingers.
