Description

Founded by Leonard J. Russell Snr in 1936, Ian Macleod & Company Ltd have a distinguished history with a portfolio of quality brands and spirits. In recent decades, the company has acquired several distilleries including Glengoyne and Tamdhu and has also launched the bold and intense Smokehead Islay Single Malt. Chieftain's - named for the Celtic leaders - is an award-winning range of rare malts. This 14 year old single malt Scotch whisky from an undisclosed Speyside distillery was distilled in May 2006 and aged in a first-fill sherry butt before being bottled in November 2020 at cask strength.
