Nose
A complex and intriguing aroma, with notes of beeswax, old furniture polish, and a hint of tropical fruit. Underlying maritime influence, with a touch of brine and sea spray. A subtle smokiness emerges with time, reminiscent of extinguished candles and damp earth.
Palate
Rich and oily texture, coating the mouth with flavours of honeyed malt, dried apricots, and a delicate spice. A wave of citrus zest and ginger develops, followed by a pleasant salinity. The smokiness from the nose is more pronounced here, intertwining with notes of dark chocolate and roasted nuts.
Finish
Long and lingering, with a gentle warmth. The maritime notes persist, alongside a hint of liquorice and a faint whisper of peat smoke. A satisfying dryness at the end, leaving a desire for more.
