Nose
A little yeasty before it opens, with Challah and bread rolls, giving way to raisins, tobacco, wood (cigar humidor), and light paraffin. Tart notes of strawberry or cherry cordial. With water, fresher fruits like grapes and grape flowers, clover honey, coal, gorse, sherry leather, and tobacco emerge.
Palate
Sultanas and dried cherries, sweet, with a syrupy and oily mouthfeel. Notes of coffee and nuttiness. With water, more bitter cocoa and coffee liqueur, Clynelish wax with white floral notes, citrus, citrus rinds, and orange oil.
Finish
Long, with mineral elements and more tobacco. Woody notes, damp leaves, and a complex, damp character. A maritime feel towards the end.
