Description

A malt distillery in the Highland region of Scotland and part of the Scotch whisky holdings of Diageo. The current distillery was built in 1967 and despite its long associations to the Johnnie Walker blends, it has one of the oldest single malt brands as well. A historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by United Distillers and then Diageo between 1995 and 2005 as part of the Rare Malts Selection series. This Clynelish was distilled in 1972 and bottled as a 23 year old at natural cask strength.
