Nose
Classic Clynelish waxy malt, with notes of heather honey, vanilla cream, white fruits like apple, banana, pineapple rind, peach or apricot, and citrus such as tangerines and lemon peel. Hints of chamomile tea, eucalyptus, and cinnamon butter.
Palate
Rich heather honey and sweet malt, with beeswax, vanilla custard, and cereal notes. Flavors of cinnamon rolls, raisins, orange peel, dry lemon, dry leather, almond, and cashews. An unctuous quality balanced by crisp acidity, with drying oak and biscuits.
Finish
Long and warming, with sweet malt, wax, and floral notes fading into honey and heather. Pleasant woody bitterness, allspice, dry ginger, tea tannins, and toasty oak, with a lingering slightly smoky malt and salted butter.
