A lesser-known Speyside distillery established in 1897, Coleburn spent most of its life providing fillings for blended Scotch brands. It was acquired by the Distillers Company in 1925 and closed sixty years later. Connoisseurs Choice is one of the most easily recognised ranges from independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail, launched in the 1960s when most malts were used in blends.
