Description
Compass Box Asyla is a blended Scotch whisky, originally released in 2001 and discontinued in 2018 due to difficulties in sourcing appropriately matured stock. It is composed of 50% malt whisky and 50% grain whisky, with components including malt whiskies from Glen Elgin, Linkwood, and Teaninich, and grain whisky from Cameronbridge. The whiskies are aged exclusively in first-fill American oak casks, which impart vanilla character, richness, and sweetness. Asyla is described as a delicate, elegant, and balanced blend, often recommended as an aperitif or for everyday sipping.
