Description

This bespoke Blended Malt Scotch Whisky was created by Compass Box Whisky Maker James Saxon with input from the Kensington Wine Market (KWM) whisky team to celebrate KWM's 30th Anniversary. It is composed of 37% 20 year old Caol Ila, 30% 20 year old Teaninich, 23% 19 year old Mortlach, and 10% 17 year old Ardbeg, matured in re-charred, first-fill and refill American oak casks. Compass Box is known for its non-chill filtered whiskies without added coloring. This limited release was bottled at 49% ABV.

Lush, malty, and fruity with soft peat, creamed honey, vanilla, caramel, apricots, melons, citrus, and a hint of meaty Mortlach and bacon-forward Caol Ila. Savoury notes of mushrooms, chili oil, and bright Islay iodine peat.
Palate
Round, chewy, and fruity with sweet creamy tones and gentle peat. Apricot, peach, candied lemon, baked apple and pear, subtle waxiness, fatty bacon, saltwater taffy, floral lilac, and lavender. Clean, elegant, and balanced smoke.
Finish
Warming, fresh, and fruity with creamy honey and soft peat. Elegant with a slightly dangerous edge, and a lingering sweetness.
