Description

Lady Luck is a blended malt containing Caol Ila and Imperial malt whiskies, aged in an American white oak hogshead. It is a vatting of two Caol Ila casks (29-year-old from 1980 and 25-year-old from 1984) and one Imperial cask (14-year-old from 1995).

Nose
Elegant and gently ashy, like a fireplace that is cleaned the morning after. Some toffee, vanilla custard and sweet orange. Hints of cinnamon and cardamom. Coal and yellow apple. Brine and sweet charcoal / burning incense like aromas.
Palate
Oily mouthfeel. Peatier now with big tobacco notes. Quite briney and coastal with subtle lemon, fennel and sweet smoke.
Finish
Long and dry on liquorice and olive juice. Subtle aftertaste of lanolin, citrus and sweet smoke.
